LAS VEGAS, NV (CES) and IRVINE, CA – January 07, 2010 -- VIZIO, America’s #1 LCD HDTV Company, announced a variety of VIZIO branded accessory components to enhance the performance and installation of their HDTV and HD audio components. First is a wireless HDMI adapter with 4-port switch that delivers HD quality video and audio from source devices like Blu-ray players and set-top boxes to any HDTV without using an HDMI cable. Next, VIZIO is introducing a new lineup of ultra-slim wall mounts that can be used to mount HDTVs from 19” to 65” in size or up to 130 lbs., with swivel and tilt options. To ensure maximum performance from high performance and 3D HDTVs, VIZIO is also introducing a new line of premium HDMI cables as well as an environmentally friendly cleaning foam that helps keep HDTV screens and other electronic components free of dust and scratches. Finally, VIZIO is pleased to announce two new universal remote controls including one with a 3.5” LCD touchscreen with automatic backlight control.

XWH100 Wireless HDMI Adapter with 4-Port Switch
VIZIO’s new XWH100 Wireless HDMI Adapter with 4-Port Switch makes setting up and installing today’s thin HDTVs easier than ever before. Using SiBEAM’s robust 60 GHz solution based on the latest WirelessHD standard technology, the VIZIO Wireless HDMI Adapter allows HDTV owners added freedom to place or mount their flat panel TV in locations that may not be easy or close enough to connect with an HDMI cable to source components like the set-top box or Blu-ray player. The innovative switch wirelessly delivers HD quality video and audio to any HDTV from source devices at a distance of up to 30 feet non-line of sight. The four-port switch supports up to four source components connected using standard HDMI cables and can send A/V content at rates of up to 20 times faster than other standards-based wireless technologies that transmit just up to 4Gbps over the air. MSRP is $249, available this summer.

Ultra-Slim Wall Mounts
VIZIO’s wide variety of mounts share solid and secure construction with smart features that ensure viewers of the ultimate HDTV viewing experience. These mounts let users choose from flush, tilt, or full motion options, allowing placement of their HDTVs in convenient locations while allowing adjustment to achieve the desired viewing angle.

Two full motion brackets with articulating arms accommodate sets from 19” to 65” in size and up to 130 lbs., and include integrated bubble levels for ease of installation, plus cable management systems that conceal unsightly wires. Two ultra-slim tilt brackets have very shallow depths (1.5” and 2”), with bubble level and stabilization technology that eliminates locking knobs. VIZIO’s flush mount bracket is only 1” thin, with a special tilt feature that allows up to 6 degrees of fixed tilt. The VMT40-55M motorized tilt mount can elevate the display for viewing and lower it back to its home position when the TV is turned off. Tilt amounts can also be adjusted to reduce glare from lights or windows. All models include $10,000 of component insurance.

HDMI 1.4 Cables
Increase in video bandwidth for 3D TV and the new 4k x 2k ultra-HD resolution requires HDMI cables to be manufactured using heavy copper gauges.  This makes the typical HDMI cable inflexible and difficult to install.

VIZIO’s XCH5 Series Ultra-Thin HDMI Cables incorporate RedMere’s EyeWire active cable technology, which allows for a cable design that is thinner, more flexible, and more environmentally friendly, all while meeting the latest in HDMI 1.4 standards.

The result is an ultra high-speed HDMI cable capable of 1080p, 3D, and 4k x 2k resolution, with an ethernet channel and audio return channel, that is flexible, easy to install, and able to fit right in your shirt pocket.

Available in 6 foot, 8 foot and 12-foot lengths with standard HDMI connectors (A to A), XCH5 cables will also be available with HDMI A to C connectors for HD/Prosumer cameras, in 6 and 12 foot lengths. Future products will have HDMI A to D connectors for use with mobile devices.

The XCH3 Series Ultra High-Speed Flat HDMI Cables deliver premium A/V performance, ensuring optimum picture quality with high-performance HDTVs and 3D HDTVs. Capable of up handling signals of up to 10.2 Gbps, these cables can support resolutions higher than 1080p. Their flat profile makes for great installation flexibility, and the cables come in 6 foot, 8 foot and 12 foot lengths in either black or white.

Also new, with exceptional value pricing, the XCH1 Series provides high quality video and audio for HDTVs, DVD players, game consoles and other A/V components. These round HDMI cables come in 6 foot, 8 foot and 12 foot lengths, in black only.

ECO Electronic Cleaning Foam
To keep electronic components clean and in optimum working order, VIZIO’s ECO Electronic Cleaning Foam is safe to use on all electronic devices. A 7 oz. spill proof can is provided with a deluxe 10”x10” VIZIO cleaning cloth, at an MSRP of $14.98. Its anti-bacterial formula helps protect everyone in the home from harmful germs, and its anti-static properties help prevent dust buildup on equipment and screens. With a neutral Ph, this versatile cleaner is safe to use on any electronic component as well as on stainless steel appliances. The VCP100 Cleaning foam became available in November 2009.

Universal Remote Controls
VIZIO is also introducing two universal remote controls. Not only does the XRT100 provide digital touchscreen control of VIA-enabled television sets, but it also can be programmed to work with any legacy A/V component as well. The 3.5” LCD touchscreen features one-touch controls to turn on all the components in the home theater like a TV, surround sound system and Blu-ray player, and it displays favorite apps groups by user or by genre. This advanced universal remote communicates with VIA-enabled HDTVs over Bluetooth 2.0 and also incorporates a motion sensor that automatically turns the backlight on and off to help conserve battery life.

The VUR9M Universal Home Theater Remote Control, available March 2010, has backlit volume and number keys for easy access in dimly lit environments, and comes pre-loaded with an extensive IR code library, including VIZIO Blu-ray players and Soundbars. With a sleek design and soft ergonomic grip, this universal remote controls up to four devices and includes a smart key learning feature that lets users copy their favorite keys from legacy remotes.
