January 29, 2008 -Japanese monthly HiVi magazine (published by Stereo Sound publishing Inc.) has awarded Stewart’s ST130-G3 (named HD130-G3 in Japan.) for a 23rd annual grand prix of peripheral equipment award in 2007.  The screen was introduced during CEDIA show in 2007 and many Japanese video critics have praised its superior performance as commented below.  The followings were translated from HiVi magazine February 2008 edition for this press release.

“<HiVi> We would like to review the latest reference screen in HiVi’s evaluation room; Stewart HD130-G3.  This screen was introduced by Stewart filmscreen to have finer pigments of optical coating for 1080p digital projectors.  “

“The digital projectors in consumer electronics have moved up to 1080p resolutions and it is now the standard format of our home theater.  It makes sense to consider your screen for 1080p contents.”

Stewart HD130 has always been highly praised and favored by video critics and it has evolved to G3 format delivering finer resolution than ever.  “

“The details of HD projectors are finely reproduced on this screen thanks to the G3 coating.  The screen takes an advantage of Full HD resolutions as it reproduces the finest details of the latest digital projectors.  Depending on the projector you will use, but in general I find the screen’s color saturation and accuracy have also increased in many cases.  “

“The screen has a very film-like touch and an essence of Hollywood movies.  The previous version of HD130 did have a slight sparkling pigments which you will find in many pearl based screens.  But this G3 has a silk smooth surface so you can relax and enjoy the movies.“

“The significant difference of G3 formulated screen from other screens is its ability to reproduce higher dynamic ranges for pure white and black.  I also find the higher resolutions to deliver more finer details in every aspect of scenes.”

“It is expensive screen when compared to all ranges of font projection screens, and the price may not match the users of low cost projector and home theater equipments.  But as the speakers in general range from $1,000.00 to $30,000.00 depending on the quality and performance of sound you crave for, you should expect to find the finer detail and color saturated screens with higher price tags.”

(Five video critics have commented the above inserts.)
