CHATSWORTH, CA. -- AUGUST 5, 2008 -- SANYO, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of LCD and DLP projectors, announced today they have appointed Mike Weems CTS, MCP as the new Business Development Manager for the Pro AV channel.

Mr. Weems brings over 20 years of experience in business development and dealer training. He spent 16 years at Sony as a district sales manager and digital systems product specialist. After Sony he worked four years with InFocus as a business development consultant and heading up their dealer training programs. Mr. Weems' previous position, before coming to SANYO, was three years as Director of Training at Netstreams, a digital content delivery, and control systems company.

His new responsibilities at SANYO will include developing and running educational programs for all Pro AV channels, while nurturing other strategic partnerships in the educational market.
