LOS GATOS, Calif., August 29, 2008 --  DVDO
, the industry leader in video processing systems and video processing semiconductors, announced today its plans for the CEDIA Expo in Denver, Colorado, September 4–6. In Booth 1058, the company will present its new affordable high-quality video processor, DVDO EDGE™. Also making its debut will be the new VRS ABT1030 Video Processing chip. In addition, DVDO will be participating in the CEDIA Learning Lab Experience in Room 710 of the Convention Center.

DVDO EDGE™ is the first affordable world-class high-quality video processor. It upscales all video formats, up to 1080p output, and improves image quality through its full complement of Anchor Bay’s Video Reference Series™ (VRS™) technologies. EDGE is also the ultimate A/V hub, with 6 HDMI 1.3 inputs, and its user interface makes setup and operation simple for any user. SRP of the EDGE is $799.

The ABT1030 advanced video processing IC is a third-generation chip ideally suited for standard and high definition deinterlacing and scaling applications, up to 1080p, in upconverting Set-top boxes, DVD players and recorders, low-cost Blu-Ray DVD players, and AV receivers. The ABT1030 chip features Anchor Bay's Video Reference Series™ (VRS™) technologies, including 10-bit Precision Deinterlacing™, which provides arbitrary cadence detection as well as five-field motion adaptive and edge adaptive processing for a flicker-free viewing experience. It also provides 10-bit Precision Video Scaling II™ to scale standard and high definition images while preserving image detail, to achieve outstanding picture quality for high-resolution video displays.

DVDO is a participant in the Learning Lab Experience, in Room 710 of the Convention Center.  The Learning Lab consists of three rooms where electronic system technicians have an opportunity for hands-on experience with a wide range of the very latest video, audio, and cable technologies. The DVDO iScan VP50PRO and EDGE video processors will be on display in the Learning Lab, and in addition to formal classes in video display technology and calibration, attendees will be able to visit the room throughout the show to interact with these products.
